Artistic giants unite in the Museum of Contemporary Art's new exhibition "Mythic Proportions: Painting in the 1980s." Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Anselm Kiefer, Allan McCollum, Susan Rothenberg, David Salle, Kenny Scharf, and Julian Schnabel are among the featured artists in this look at painting's role in the 1980s and how that work came to define the '90s. MoCA is located at 770 N.E. 125th St., North Miami. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday (open from 7-10 p.m. on the last Friday of the month in conjunction with jazz performances); noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission $5 or $3 for seniors/students with ID; North Miami residents free.
